WE ARE TAKING BETTER CARE OF OUR PLANET. DO YOU AGREE?

I think we are not taking care of the planet because people are more important their needs than to care it. For example, when I eat a packet of biscuits, I don't think about bundle we can do little things to help the preservation of our planet, for example: recycle and reuse, use public transport, not cut trees...

Anyway the governments with the help of ecological organizations are those who are trying to find a solution. However, take care of our planet is a responsability of all the people, because we all are living here. If only a few ones are trying to change things never will change. Every person must change a little bit trying to protect the planet.

So I think that this is a very important issue, but in my opinion there still too much people that don't care about the health of the planet, and that's so bad for all of us. Humanity must be more responsible and conscious about their mistakes. 

MY FAVOURITE HOLIDAYS

My favourite holidays were in Andorra with my family and me. I booked a four star hotel and the hotel had a swiming pool, jacuzzi, spa.... When I went to Andorra I was very happy because I could stop thinking of my daily life. My mother and I went to a lot of shops and we bought a lot of different things. My father was very angry with my mother and me because we spent a lot of money. At night we went to Caldea. Caldea is a center thermal of hot and cold water, you can relax there and problems disappear. After Cladea, I went to the hotel and I had dinner. The food in the hotel was not good I can't understand that because the hotel was very expansive.

MY PETS

l have four cats: Boleta, Mimi, Marta, and Piula. Boleta lives with me but her sisters live in my garden. When Boleta was a little my family caught her in the garden. She was afraid home because we separated for her family. Now she is very happy with me. I think that people feel the same, when they have to go somewhere for a long time, they are sad.

 We don't think that animals can have feelings, we only like have money and buy a lot of things. It's important to change this, how? I don't know, but I will try to look after my pets the best that I will can.

Dear Daisy,

I have to talk to you about some issues. You don’t pick up the phone so that why I’m writing to you this letter.

At first I must say that I have other friends apart from you. I know that we had a very good friendship and we spend really funny times together, but now I can’t stand it. I spent all my time with you, and my boyfriend’s angry with me because of that, and also with you. You are a very good person, but it’s unbearable.

 I want you to continue being my friend, because I know you since we were children, and I love you and I appreciate your friendship a lot. We can still be friends, but no like now. I also want to spend my free time with Charlie, because I love him too.

 We can talk, you can phone me if you need to talk to someone, or if you want to explain me some new gossip, but not for two hours as we did before. I must study too.

I’m sure you will understand what I want to mean with this letter, you know what our friendship represents to me.

HUMOUR

Is humour necessary to survive?

 Humour is a human quality that has a very important influence in our lives. On the one hand, I think if you lived bad or sad times in your moment, you always have to try to laugh a little bit, because maybe this small thing can help you a lot. It will make you feel better, for sure.

If you are in a good moment of your life, you always have a smile in your face, and that means something, not only to yourself, also to the others who look at you. I think that we work or study better if we are in a good mood, and if we are positive.

On the other hand, I think that there are many situations in which we can’t be smiling or positive because they aren’t funny. However, we always must try to look the positive side of the things that happen to us. I think that’s the better way we can live; I think it’s the way we have to follow if we want to be happy.

So, yes. I think that humour is necessary. And if you’re living a bad moment while you’re reading this, I’m going to try to make you laugh:

DESCRIBING MY TOWN: CASTELLÓ D’EMPURIES

I live in Castelló d’Empúries and I like it. If you go here you need to know some things.

Castelló d’Empúries is located near the mouth of the river Muga, in the Golf of Roses. Its strategic location allows travellers to combine art and culture with sun and beach tourism and enjoyment of nature.

There are three choices of visit: the county village, the coast area of Empuriabrava and the Aiguamolls Park. The town of Castelló d’Empuries retains a rich architectural heritage, as the beautiful Gothic church of Santa Maria of the XIV century, with a Roamanesque bell tower and a gothic clock tower. It also has other interesting buildings such as City Hall, the Great House (XIV century), the Portal of the Gallarda (XI-XII centuries) which is the unique entrance tower of the medieval town, the old ‘Llotja de Mar’, because in the Middle Ages Castelló had port: Roses, the Old Bridge and the convent of Santa Clara (XI century).

 However, if you like sun and beach, you must go to Empuriabrava, because of its large complex of apartments in front of the Mediterranean Sea or a house next to one of the channels it has. The marina of Empuriabrava is one of the most important of Europe, so you can sail with your boat or yacht through the channels to the sea.

So, you can see that Castelló d’Empúries offers really different activities to enjoy the summer and to learn history about our town, to learn our culture.

CONSUMERISM

Nowadays, we live in a consumerist society, because we normally buy things we really don’t need. In this game, technology plays a big role. Our daily life is full of advertisements of a lot of different things. The companies want to sell their products so they show us the advantages of their own products. You can see that advantages because their presentation is fantastic and it makes you feel the need to buy it. And probably you’ll go to the shop or market and you buy that product, however, when you arrive at home you keep it in a cupboard or wardrobe and you don’t use it. And one day, when you open that cupboard you see that object, and you ask to yourself: ‘why I bought that?’

Nevertheless, that’s not only a problem of the First World. Also in the poorest places of the world you can find a television, a computer, mobile phones or even Iphone.  The companies and the advertisements and the evolution of the humanity and the globalization make we need different things to be happy or even to be normal. If you don’t have a phone at 12 years old or less, then you friends ask to you: ‘how can you live without a phone? I cannot spend a minute without it!’ However, there are people in the world that can’t buy a phone or a computer and they’re happy!!

So I think that, in part the advertisements are necessary because they show us new products, improved products, but we should buy with moderation and responsibility. 

BEING HIRED TROUHG A VIDEO GAME

Nowadays, there are lot of business companies that use video games to select candidates for a job in the company. If you’re able to win in a video game which simulates the stock market and others that challenge you to direct a restaurant, you have many possibilities to get a job. A lot of important companies as Barclays, Daimler or the Central Bank of Canada use that way to preselect candidates.

‘Gamification’: There are also different games that let you show different skills of the future candidates. Each game is different. ‘Gamification’ is a new practice that seeks to replace or guiding activities of everyday life with games or video games. However, it is not an innovate practice.

Video games are used to establish personality traits of a candidate and to understand the degree of satisfaction of a customer or market research, among others.

WHEN I AM RICH...

If I was rich...

I think that the first thing I will do would be helping my mother in everything she could need. My mum is the most important person in my life, so I know I would do so.

However, it is really complicated to think about what could I do if was rich because I am not rich, and it is difficult for me to imagine that situation.

 I don’t know, maybe with all that money I’ll try to pay all the debts I could have, pay the house and things like this. But, I love the animals, especially the cats, so I think that I would use part of that money to help the animals, creating refugees, buying the food and taking care of them. There are a lot of stray cats; most of them will die run down by a car or any other vehicle.  Nobody takes care of them and this is so sad, so I want to change it. But not only with cats, also dogs. I think that also they deserved someone who loves them. And I think that that person could be me.

I like a lot playing basketball; it’s my favourite sport, so maybe I could use part of the money to bring that sport to different places of the world. I can create a foundation, and creates basketball courts and let the kids learn a lovely sport, the best sport. I want to share with the world one of my passions, basketball. I think it’s a sport that teaches comradeship, generosity, but also needs effort and dedication. I would like to bring to these kids an opportunity.

So this is what I would like to do if I was rich.

CIVIL WAR

The new film of Marvel is called ‘Civil War’, in which we can find all the superheroes of Marvel: Captain America, Antman, Spiderman, Ironman, Bucky, Black Panther and others.

 Somewhere in Siberia, in 1991, HYDRA woke up a Winter Soldier and they erased his memory to be faithful and completely obedient to anyone who read some words of mental control. These words are written in a red book with a black star.

During a mission of the team in Africa, some innocent people died. This incident caused a big politic pressure to all the team, but especially to Scarlet Witch, the superhero who killed accidentally those innocent people in Africa. Because of that the government set up a responsibility system to supervise the team.

The next step was the creation of the Sokovia Agreements, the pass of the 117 countries was in Vienne. But then, a terrorist activated a bomb and all of them died, except the son of the King T’Chaka, the Black Panther.

Some of the Avengers agree with the Sokovia Agreements, but others don’t want to be under supervision. The first ones, lead by Ironman, began a fight to the others, lead by Captain America, who wanted to take a plane and fly to Russia to stop the dawn of the five Winter Soldiers.

After the fight, Captain America and Bucky could take the plane, and the others of them are imprisoned in a high security prison under the sea. Tony Stark wanted to stop the Captain America plan and he went to the prison to talk to the prisoners. He found out that Captain America was in Siberia and he went there. There, they met Zemo, who showed to Tony Stark a video of his parents and how Bucky killed them. But Captain America defended Bucky arguing that he was under mental control. Tony Stark didn’t accept this reason and he began a fight with Captain America. Finally, Stark said to Rogers (Captain America) that his father was the creator of his shell, and Rogers threw it to Stark’s face.

The last scene of the film shows us that Black Panther helped Captain America, Bucky, Scarlet Witch and the other of his side in a refuge in the middle of the jungle with a big statute of a panther in front of them. 

THE SPANISH CUT TIME THAT WATCHING TELEVISION A DAY: 243 MINUTES

Television consumption falls for third consecutive year, but the sectors turnover frows.

The Spanish sits an average of four hours a day to television specifically 243 minutes. The companies dedicated to television, both paid and open, they benefited from this habit, and it's turnover exceded 1000 millions of euros. Although television consumption is the highest of Europe, down year on year since reaching it's peak in 2012.

Digital terrestial TV continues to dominate overwhelmingly the rest of the platforms, although the tendency it's descending.

Mediaset and Atresmedi were placed leaders. The channels most seen were Telecinco and Anten3 christmas it's the time of year higher income.

Univision will issue ''El Príncipe'' in the USA

In his two seasons in Telecinco, the serie had an average of 4.800.000 viewers.

Univision Communications, the media conglomerate in largest USA Spanish, will issue the serie ''El Príncipe'' in the USA market.

It will be the first Spanish fiction that will channel UniMas, owed by Univision, after the group had been done rights of this serie.

''El Príncipe'' starring by José Coronado, it's acclimated in the trouble neighborhood ceuti of a same name and has a story of impossible love. It has been one of the Spanish fictions more followed on the Internet.

Self-evaluation

To do my oral presentation first I had to search the information. I used internet to find it because it is easier and quickly than searching in an encyclopaedia. It was necessary to find the information because I didn't know anything about the Cook Islands, maybe it was a reason to focus my attention in these little islands.

I think that when I was doing my oral presentation I looked at all my classmates most of the time, because I was trying to teach something new to them about these islands. Maybe I read a little bit from my notes, because I always feel nervous when I talk in front of a group of persons. I don't know if I did any movements or gestures to hold the attention of my classmates, because I think that most of them were listening to me, as I listen to their oral presentations too. 

In my opinion I organized my ideas with a coherent structure, maybe not in order of importance, but I did what I thought it was clearer to understand. For sure there a lot of other things of the culture of these islands that I didn't say, because I wanted to expose the most important ones. I used the powerpoint to show a little bit these important things using photographies and some phrases that I thought emphasise what I was talking about. 

To do this presentation I needed to use a dictionary, so I learnt a lot of new words. 

Before doing the presentation in front of the class I studied how to pronunce it, because for me it's a little bit difficult to pronunce well. Also my English teacher helped me a little bit in that point. I think I talked with the same tone voice during the presentation, and maybe with som breaks, surley because of the difficulty in pronouncing some words.

Pollution

Nowadays we have important problems of pollution, especially in big cities like Madrid, Sevilla or Barcelona. That cities and others form all around the world have pollution problems and it is really difficult to solucionate them. 

It is true that there are many policies, national and international, that try to solucionate these big problems, but in my opinion, is is insufficient and inadequate. Many days, if you live in a big city like Barcelona and you try to look  the clouds in the sky, you can't. Normally the sky is covered by a smoke cloud. However, situations like that are presents in many cities around the world. When you go for a walk in the streets of a big city you will see always a lot of traffic and that is the principal cause of the smoke cloud. 

There are many options to solucionate pollution problems. The first one and the most easy to do is to take public transport (train or bus) to go at work and not to take the own car, But there are many people who don't try to do the effort. 

However, some cities try to do something in their own, like a bycicle day or a public transport day. The only problemof these initiatives is that it is only one day a year, and it should be all the year. For example, in Barcelona, had got success the initiative of 'Bicing', and now there are many people who uses the bycicle and not the car. 

I know that these are poor solucions in front of a big problem. All the society should aware about this, because it is our world and our responsability to take care of it. 

Computers

Now I'm going to talk you about the computers and about the modern times. Are the computers necessary to our lives?

On the one hand, I think that we can find the information quickly with internet. Also, technology industry given job to a lot of people. But, on the other hand, I think that there are a lot of people that have technology dependence, because the first thing that hey do when they or the Play Station, Wii and other ones. I also think that we don't need technology to service. The society makes it as necessity.

It's necessary to do ther things, for example play sports, travel, read...

Chumlee arrested, is one of the main characters as Pawn Stars

Austin Russell, know as Chamlee, is one of the main characters of Paw Stars has been arrested by the police accused of different charges.

Deadline publication to inform taht the policeman went to his home after receining a complain of a woman that she claims she has suggered  a sexual attempt.

When the policeman arrived his home they discovered illegal weapon and methamphetamine and marijuana, so he was accused drug possessions and illegal possession of weapons, so he was under arrest.

As a result it an investigation has opened.

FRIENDSHIP

For my friendship is to have trust with a person for to tell things and be sure that he will not say anothing. A friend is the person that will by moments with you in the god and in the bad and never leave you alone when have a problem.

I have learned to assess the word friendship to choose my friends. I prefer to have few friends, because if I have a lot friends, when I need then, they don't remember me It' better quality and not quantity, in other words, it's btter few and food than more and bad.

I think in my life the true friends are my family because they will be always there.

CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC

A few days ago I saw this film It talked about woman that always was buying clothes. She said that she bought because like this she feels better, but she was shopping adiction. But slowly, she kept o becoming indebted. After words, to retrieve the money, she entered to work into a magazine of finances. She fall in love with her boss, and together they go to dance. But after appears another woman, more beautiful than the protagonist.

She had debts because of that she was pursued by an agent. She goes to a programme and the agent appears from the public and told to everybody about her debts. So, to get back with her boss and boyfriend. She had to sell all her cloths in a second hand market and auction.

Finally, she was able to pay all the debts, but she paid with or lot of coins!! The film finished with a a kiss between she and her boss. It's a funny film and I really liked it. 

Education

I want to talk a little bit about the education because I think it is a privilege that not everybody has, and those who have the opportunity to go to the school don't appreciate it. 

In the First World, most of the kids think that they have to go to the school because it is an obligation, or maybe they don't want to go to the school so they don't try to do their homework and they don't study. The obbligatory education ends when kids are 16 years old, and in Spain the percentatge of kids that don't end the ESO (Obligatory Education) is really high. 

Whereupon when they will apply for a job they will have problems, because most of the companies demand the ESO. All these kids and teenagers don't appreciate the luck they have. They can go to the school! 

In Africa, for example, and some other countries of Asia, the kids have to fight to get one opportunity to go to the school. These kids begin to work too early, and most of them can't go to the school, and I'm sure that they would like to go. 

Because of that, I think that we have to teach to our kids that they have to appreciate a little bit more the school, because it will be important for them in the future. We have to fight to reduce that percentatge of the kids that leave the school too early. They have to aware that they could study, a privilege that a lot of kids would have and they don't! 

Describing Rome

Last year I went to Rome with the school, one of the most wonderful cities. Rome is the capital of Italy, and it is a city with a lot of history and romantic stories. 

The civilization of the ancient Rome is one of the most amazing and powerful from all the times, because they control a lot of places from all Europe. I think that their mithology is incredible, they had some different Gods that represent different things (skies, fertility, hell, knowledge...). Also that people built important buildings that  nowadays are monuments. I think, for example, in the 'circus romanus' or the Coliseum, and when Christianity was accepted as the official religion of the Roman Empire, they built a lot of churches. 

So Rome has a lot of monuments that atract a lot of people from all around the world. One of them and most known is the Coliseum, or the spring Fontana di Trevi. It is also very close to Vatican, and there are a lot of faithful perosons who want to visit Saint Peter's Cathedral. However, it is also a very romantic city, so many couples want to visit it in they honeymoon. It is one of the best destinies of Europe. 

As a conclusion, I think that Rome is a big city and very wonderful, and you have a lot of things to do and to visit there. It is one of the best beautiful cities of the South Europe, and I'm really happy because I was there and I could visit it a year ago. 

Dog Whisperer being accussed of animal mistreatment

César Millán, the 'dog whisperer' known for his tv show in which he worked with problem dogs, is being under judicial investigation in USA, being accussed of animal mistreatment. 

This investigation began by the complaints recieved by Millán from different persons against his reallity program 'Cesar 911' when a French bulldog trained by Millan attacked two pigs and pull out the ear of one of them, according to Variety magazine. 

Recently the officials of the Los Angeles Animal Control Department went to the office of Millan, but he was not there, so they notified that Millan have to contact with them. 

The channel, Nat Geo Wild have comunicated that Millan worked as it is normal with that dog, called Simon to try to reduce his agressivity in order to avoid his killing.
